Our Beavers visited the Wynyard Observatory on the 25th of Nov.

We looked at Jupiter and its moons through very strong telescopes then we had a planet show in the Planetarium. Ed was really great and the kids loved every minute of our travels thru the Milky Way.

This term the Beavers have learnt about Astronauts, Space Stations, Space Rockets, the 8 planets that make up our solar system. We have looked at environmental factors that make it possible for life to form on a planet. We learnt about Europa one of Jupiter's frozen moons that may have some form of life in the water under the ice surface. The pretend space journey in Russia where astronauts have spent 5 months pretending to be in space to see how it will affect them. We built our own space stations out of Lego and designed a new planet in a far away galaxy. This term we have earned our Creative Challenge and Imagination Badge.

Next week we are doing electronic experiments for our Experiment Badge.

On the 10th of December we are holding our Christmas party.

In January we are having some Creepy visitors and going to Pets at Home to learn about looking after pets.
